On behalf of the Shepherd Park Plaza Civic Club, welcome to the best neighborhood
in the City of Houston! We are glad to have you here.
The Shepherd Park Plaza Civic Club is your Civic Club, comprised of caring and
concerned neighbors who generously volunteer their time and talents toward
preserving our property values and the stability of the quality of the life we enjoy in
this great neighborhood.

Some of the services your Civic Club provides are:
• Deed Restriction enforcement and Architectural Control- protecting
property values.
• Constable Patrol Program- coordination of the activities of our full
time Harris County Constable patrolling Shepherd Park Plaza.
• Safety and Security- regular meetings with HPD on crime
analysis/prevention; delivering refreshment trays annually to area
policemen and firemen; supporting Shepherd Park Plaza Citizen’s
Patrol.
• End-of-year Holidays (Christmas & Hannukah), Easter, Autumn/Halloween and Yard of the Month Awards, promoting
Holiday yard displays and property beautification.
• Community Relations- close involvement and communication with the
City and area civic clubs on matters of mutual concern- roads, utilities,
neighborhood crime prevention, park and other activities.
• Entrances- maintaining signs and flowerbeds at each entrance.
• The Plaza Pulse- our monthly newsletter to keep you informed.
• SPPCC Website- containing valuable information and email alerts.
• Street Address Numbering- making sure addresses are maintained and
repainted when necessary on driveways and curbs for emergency and
Citizen’s Patrol identification.
• Neighborhood Social Gatherings-annual meeting in September and
general meeting of election of officers in March.
The above list represents only a portion of the many projects that the Civic Club
undertakes each year. We extend an invitation to you to join us and participate in
this worthwhile activity. Annual membership dues are only $25.00. As you are filling
out the enclosed form, please consider making a donation to our Citizens Patrol,
and/or volunteering your time to become an active participant in our Patrol. The
Shepherd Park Plaza Citizens Patrol is one of the most successful and widely
respected groups in the City of Houston and has achieved both local and national
recognition.
